Dear Friends,                                  

A wonderful opportunity has opened up for my family and me to travel to the nation of Mozambique in Africa.  I am writing to ask you to consider partnering with us as we make this journey.

Brandon, Price, Jack and I will be traveling to Pemba, Mozambique with Global Awakening on October 20th - November 2nd, 2014.  Global Awakening has been leading groups on international trips for more than 20 years.  One of the goals of these trips is to reach people through meeting practical needs. Even though we are traveling with Global Awakening, my sons and I will be working closely with Iris Global which is led by Rolland and Heidi Baker.  Iris Global is responsible for feeding more than 10,000 orphans and impoverished people in Mozambique each day. We are excited to participate in this life changing, humanitarian effort.  

As we work alongside the Bakers and Will Hart of Global Awakening, we will have countless opportunities to serve and share including: working with orphans, caring for abandoned children, playing soccer with teens, digging trenches, preparing and distributing food, and serving in other practical ways.  As we work together, my family and I will have the life changing experience of touching the lives of those who are less fortunate.

I am asking that you consider how you can partner with us as we go to Mozambique.  We would certainly appreciate your financial support as we will incur the travel expenses of $18,000 which includes: airfare, immunizations, visas, clothing, supplies and materials. It is especially helpful for donations to be made by June 30th, 2014, as many expenses are due at that time.  Please make checks payable to Michael Alexander.  Make sure Iris Global is written in the memo section of the check.
